Scouts – Return to face to face

Date: 29th Sep 2020 Author: Alfie

The Scout section had their first face-to-face meeting last week where they built fires, made dough twists and cooked them on the fires. A good time was had by all.

This week, as part of the Outdoor Challenge, they were quizzed on the laws surrounding knives. They were shown how to use knives, axes and saws safely and all used their skills to create and whittle wooden spoons. Have a look at the gallery at the awesome time the Scouts had.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
