Scouts (10.5-14)

Each Scout Troop consists of small units of six to eight Scouts called a Patrol, usually led by a Patrol Leader.

Outdoor activities feature prominently, with the highlight being camping. Throughout the year, Scouts learn various skills, such as map reading, camp cooking and first aid in preparation for camps and other activities.

Stand-up Paddle boarding, archery, air rifles, tomahawk throwing, and cooking are just some of the other things they get up to.

Our Scout Troop usually has between 24-30 active members. If your child would like to join us, or you’ve got an interest in helping us out then please get in touch – we’d love to hear from you!

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
